Guitar playing is a skill that requires good hearing and great hand-eye coordination. You won’t be able to produce a nice, warm, and harmonic tune if you just strum like a crazy coyote. When I started playing the guitar when I was little, I usually lose myself and ruin the song that I was playing. Mind you, that was just the basics.
Okay, so if not the guitar, maybe consider playing other musical instruments. Now, imagine if you’re playing 2 of that instrument at the same time. It’s like writing notebooks by using both of your hands. Pretty confusing, right?
Now, what if you’re required to play both of the instruments smoothly and without any disruptions? How could you handle 2 instruments and play them at the same time? And what if I told you that you should play one of the greatest songs in the face of the planet?
Yes, it might be that tad hard. But for Luca Stricagnoli, it’s just as easy as playing 2 guitars at the same time.
Luca Stricagnoli (or Luca, if you two are really that close) is one of the most talented guitarist here in the world. Yes, he knows how to play complicated songs and maybe can show off some moves, but what made him different from the rest is that he can play 2 different guitars at the same time.
And guess what, it’s not just plain strumming! In this video, he played Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses. What makes it even more outstanding is that even though he’s the only one playing these 2 guitars, the piece went great. It just came way too great!
Unlike him, I think it will require me to study and learn to play the guitar for maybe a number of years before I could completely do what he’s doing.
So if you really love playing the guitar, stop playing 2 guitars at the same time. It will just confuse the heck out of you!
