Syria is currently facing one of the most unforgettable backlashes of our time. People started coups, demonstrations started from telling what they really want to killing other people, Syrian refugees fleeing from fights but being killed as they crossed borders. Years back, it was a troubled yet peaceful country where peace talks resolve minor problems. But now… It’s all chaos.
And what could perfectly picture the current status of Syria now is this powerful image of a kid, silently lying on the sands of a beach near Turkish resort of Borum. Dead, lifeless, face-down. Clearly, this reflects what refugees are really facing every day.
Horrifying images of a drowned Syrian Boy buzzed on social media today, showing a lifeless 3-year-old Syrian refugee named Aylan Kurdi found on the beach side in Turkey. According to some authorities, the boy came from a boat that was supposed to bring Syrian refugees to the Greek island of Kos.
Sadly, Aylan (with 11 other Syrians) will never arrive to Greece alive as their boat was capsized.
A police responded on the scene and quickly picked up the Aylan’s body.
Aylan was not the only one in his family who has suffered dearly with this tragedy. His brother, 5 years old, also ended up with the same fate as they both traveled from Kobani, a northern Syrian town.
Syrians are fleeing their country due to the never ending war between Islamic state insurgents and Kurdish forces. Since the war affected not only their way of life but also their safety, millions of Syrians decided to escape their homeland and migrate to nearby European countries.
